Cahabon

Tyler was super excited about this area.  They haven’t had a branch here for 40 years and they got a branch in the area 1 week after Tyler got there.  He said there are so many people to teach and is super excited.  His companion is pretty new on his mission, he’s been out 6 months, a member for 4 years, and has some things that make it rough to be his companion.  Tyler is hoping that he will get to stay in this area for a while and help the branch grow.  We were able to talk to him on Christmas, watch him open his presents, and he shared some of how they celebrate in Guatemala.  His companion keeps the phone most of the time so Tyler hasn’t had as much time to call or to write emails.   Second Area is Cahabon  Companion is Elder Salguerro 12/18/222 You’re all currently on my email list, fret not, I have not had the time this transfer to write an email, perhaps next week.  All is well, Spanish is great, comp is cool. 12/26/22 This week my com...

This week has been ok. Monday: I flew out.  Guatemala is very humid, not a fan.  Stayed in a fancy hotel which had the best food I had had to that point of my mission.  Slept. Tuesday: Rode to Coban, talked to the Qetchi missionary and tried to learn a bit, but don’t remember any of it because of my bad memory.   Did mission start stuff, interview with Pres., paperwork, all sorts of stuff.  Ate dinner at the mission home, new best.  Slept in the grossest house ever (not because the house was bad, the APs just didn’t c...
